What is Holidaypedia?
Holidaypedia is a new website offering the Who, What, Where, When, and Why of Holidays, Festivals and Celebrations of the year.
We've been celebrating the holidays of the year at our main website, Holidays on the Net, for years now. And try as we might its just too impossible to know every holiday celebration and tradition across the globe.
So we decided to invite all the holiday enthusiasts to join us as we try to put together a great resource of traditions, celebrations and holiday fun across the globe.
And if your a teacher from another land we invite you and your students to share your traditions, holidays and celebrations. Whether you're in the next town or across the globe please share your stories with us.
What if I don't see a category for my holiday?
Just search for the Holiday or category you are interested in. If nothing is found you can click on the "You can create this page" link in the result and a new page will be created. Now you can begin adding your information.
Please note: It is both illegal and unethical to post copyrighted material. So anything added to the site must be your own original writing. If we do find out something is copied from elsewhere it will have to be removed. So save yourself, and us, time and energy by not copying anyone else's work.
What if I want add a photo to the article?
Click on the "Upload file" from the tabs above. Browse for your image and upload the file. You will need to remember the file name. To actually add an image to your page use this code:
Image:Example.jpg - just replace "Example.jpg" with the image name.
Format images: You can align the image right, left, and center by adding this code after the image name.
